Torii

How many torii gates are there at Fushimi Inari Shrine? It's said to be over 3000 gates and you may see some new gate being built somewhere along the path in Inari Yama as you walk up the mountain. The letters on one side says the name of the company or the person who built it and the date of dedication on the other side. Please feel free to ask us if you are interested in building your own gate, leaving smaller one or a having mini torii to take home.

Postcards from Inari

It's nice to receive postcards from friends and families who are traveling out of town, even though you may receive it after they are back. It's the nice feeling that someone cares about you when they are away.

Now our original design postcards are available in sets of two. Printed on special embossed paper, we have one set for Torii motif and another one with a symbol of Yakuriki. More to come in different colours and designs.

Walking down to Tofukuji

From the shop 11, Yakuriki, there is a path going towards Tofukuji Temple direction. The temple is famous for its beautiful garden especially in the autumn when the leaves are colored. Also, this time of the year, with a nice weather and beautiful green leaves.

It will take about 40 min down through unpaved path to reach the residence area, then another 10 min or so to the temple.

The temple closes at 4pm, so it is advised that you plan your time ahead if you are planning a visit to the temple from Inari Yama.
