Espresso from the mountain dew

We placed a little espresso machine at the corner of our parents shop in Inari yama. What is special about it is not only the taste of coffee but the water used to brew coffee from the little waterfall at the highest point of Inari yama which is sacred and often used for religious activities.

Espresso coffee is not yet very common in Japan except for Starbucks and Tully's Coffee like franchise stores but there are places like us little and hiding... So please find us!---we only do coffees on weekends.

A sip of coffee can be a meaningful experience with a story behind it in Inariyama.

Happy New Year!

The first couple of weeks in January passes so fast. As Inari Shrine being one of the most visited shrines in the new year, streets are packed with people who wish for a good year and prosperity in front of Inari god. Up in the mountain, there are less visitors but more regulars who are religious and make offerings such as sake, sticky rice and place small torii gate in front of their believing god.
